This week we will be ending out study of Solid shapes. We have learned the names of some solid figures like a sphere, cube, cyliner, cone. We also learned some attributes of each figure. For instance the children learned that a cube can be stacked and can slide. We also reviews the basic plane shapes such as a circle, triangle, rectangle, and square. Overall the children had fun doing our math experiments with the shapes and learning that shapes are all around us!
For the next few weeks we will be learning about numbers. Students will build a strong number sense. Students will be learning to associate the numbers with quantity. They will also learn to write numbers. Also we will be discussing number patterns.
